Friends, family, foes who keep a close eye on the competition: we have a very important announcement to make.
It’s not a baby. Actually, I guess it is a baby, sort of.
For the first time since 2013, we’re opening a new bureau. This time, it’s Washington, DC, home to many, many other bureaus, but none of them quite like this one. How do I know? Because we’re not here to talk about politics, for starters. We’re here to talk about the best places to power-lunch. Or get a suit tailored. Or how and where to camp on that island off the coast of Maryland with all the wild horses.
We published our first email today. In it, our very talented DC editor spoke with a handful of National Geographic photographers about how to take photos of monuments that don’t look like everyone else’s photos of monuments. Next up: a preview of the best new beers from around the region, a profile of the Southern shirting shop that’s found a second home in DC, and an interview with a veteran hotel concierge about the secret spots around town he usually only shares with paying customers.
If you’re not signed up for InsideHook DC yet and want to be, you can join the list here. We’ll be posting new stories from around the Beltway every Tuesday and Thursday, with the occasional bonus read thrown in here and there for good measure.
Until then, loosen your tie knot, fix a drink and stay awhile. And if you have any questions, comments or tips (especially tips!), don’t hesitate to drop me a line.
