It is Now Illegal to Instagram this Picture-Perfect Swiss Town

The mountainous Bergün/Bravuogn municipality in the Swiss canton of Graubünden is picture-perfect, but the lawmakers there believe that posting the photographic evidence is unfair to those who can’t visit. In a notice posted to the municipality’s website and social media accounts, lawmakers said, “photographs of our picturesque landscape, shared on social media, can make others unhappy because they themselves cannot be here.”

According to Today, a press release added the humblebrag that the effect on psyches “is scientifically proven.”

The law was passed on Tuesday when 46 members of the assembly voted to officially declare the land too gorgeous for pictures. Meanwhile, two members dissented.
