James Bond: has a license to kill.

James Bond’s creator: has a villa to rent.

Introducing the GoldenEye Hotel and Resort, a Jamaican retreat where Sir Ian Fleming wrote everything from “Casino Royale” to “Dr. No,” available for the relaxing right now.

Goldeneye Resort

Located on the north coast of Jamaica, the semi-secluded GoldenEye was founded in ‘46 by Fleming, who had the Herculean (well, Bond-ian) task of turning a “former donkey racetrack” into his dream property.

Job well done. The very un-Sandals-like retreat, set on an expansive, 52-acre property abutting the crystal clear Oracabessa Bay, features plenty of luxe trappings: gorgeous beachfront views, private jungle, on-site spa and fresh water swimming pool, and a treehouse restaurant (“No, Mr. Bond … I expect you to dine”).

Goldeneye Resort

As for the rooms: 20 sumptuous suites and cottages on the water with private docks, outdoor chaise lounges, and deep clawfoot tubs.

And for a true 007 experience, stay at the Fleming Villa — a private house with its own beach, pool, garden and staff, as well as Sir Ian’s writing desk, where the author turned out all his Bond classics.
