As you may have heard, there’s been something of a tailoring revolution recently. There’s been a 180 away from the stuffy old businessman suits you’d pull out once a year, with a whole landscape of bold, fun and generally fire options now available for not just the sartorially inclined but for everyday guy, too. With that in mind, this season, we’re recommending that you invest some serious time (at least the approximate length of one InsideHook article) in considering a new fall suit.

In particular, the newest offering from Bonobos, the Italian Stretch Brushed Wool Suit, ticks virtually all of our boxes. It’s trim but also a far cry from the skinny monstrosities of the aughts, and it’s cut from a premium brushed wool, so it’s warm enough for the oncoming chill of autumn. Toss in a variety of modern color options, and we can’t think of a more versatile choice for any guy in need of a new suit.

To highlight its range, we’ve rounded up a variety of updated looks to reinvent your fall wardrobe. Below, three ways to wear a suit this fall, from a formal ‘fit for the barrage of upcoming weddings to a CEO-worthy office outfit to some devilishly handsome date night digs.

Win the Weekend Wedding:

Fall weddings are plentiful this season, what with the few years of deterred nuptials, and a handsome suit is essential for winning best dressed (other than the bride, of course). Ditch your boring blacks and opt for handsome neutrals, instead — a smoldering grey, especially when paired an appropriate button-down, proves to be a dashing autumnal look that’s hard to beat, without drawing too much attention from the special day’s proceedings.

Manage All-Day Meetings:

Summer Fridays have come and gone, and with the return to the office comes the opportunity to pull off some executive-level moves in the suiting department. A navy two piece — the old office stalwart —may be the traditional white-collar uniform of choice, but with a slim, updated fit and smart business-causal essentials (see: the Johnny Collar sweater polo) it becomes another fresh way to one-up your water-cooler rival.

Dress Up for Date Night:

Face it: whether connecting for the first time or slugging through another Friday night, your hot date probably won’t be impressed by that boring jeans-and-tee combo. Take some cues from the stars of yore (Robert Redford in particular) and try incorporating some bold tonal suiting, instead. A dusty rose might not work for your everyday commute, but it’s the right amount of bold for a fantastic first impression.
