When it comes to things that keep us warm, in Minnesota we trust.
Yours truly lived there for a spell. He knows 20 below and frozen eyelids.
So, here’s some warm advice from the land of 10,000 frozen lakes: wrap yourself in a blanket from Faribault’s Haynes Manual Collection, a trio of toasty (yet unabashedly cool) wool blankets inspired by classic American vehicles, available now.
You probably know Faribault: a restored woolen mill near Minneapolis with 150 years of history wrapped up in its looms.
They know from warm.
Here, they’ve crafted three wool throws with a vintage “Air, Land and Sea” aesthetic.
Each blanket is emblazoned with illustrations from the popular Haynes technical manuals — those illustrated bibles for garage mechanics and DIY enthusiasts.
Between the two stripes, you’ll find a Vintage P-51 Mustang, a Toyota Land Cruiser or a ’30s-era mahogany runabout speedboat.
Looks cool. But it’ll keep you snug.
Versatile, too: a merino/cotton hybrid, the blankets are good for everything from camping trips up in Maine to bonfires on the beach in Maui.
And, more advice: always best for sharing.
