It turns out Dwyane Wade spends as much time thinking about his game in the fashion world as he does on the basketball court.
The Chicago Bulls point guard’s stylish passion has manifested in various collections with clothing companies—almost too many for fans to keep track.
He says he’s aspiring to elevate himself to match the MVP of the fashion industry—Tom Ford.
So, Wade approached Amazon a year ago about collaborating on a store just for his collections. Now, that dream has come to fruition. In addition to his own Way of Wade Sneakers, the NBA star’s partnerships with the Tie Bar, Mission, and Stance are available all in one place.
But for him, the Amazon store is just the beginning of something bigger. “My goal is to be like Tom Ford. It’s not just clothes, it’s cologne, it’s accessories,” Wade told Esquire. “I started by designing socks with Stance. I want to build an empire. It’d be a cool story if I could look back and say that it all started with a pair of socks.”
