Sarah Kustok is the first woman named a solo full-time color analyst for an NBA team (the Brooklyn Nets). Though she’s actively shattering one of the sport’s world’s glass ceilings, she wants to be treated like any other announcer. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to be a role model for young girls, and she is. Kustok is ready to talk about all things basketball, but outside the sport, she is incredibly private. She’s incredibly sincere and once donated bone marrow to an in-need child. She’s also incredibly competitive and earned a basketball scholarship to DePaul, where she was known for her jump shot. Jenni Dant, who played alongside Kustok at DePaul, told Bleacher Report that people read too much into Kustok’s looks (blonde hair and blue eyes). “What people don’t realize, though, is that she’s also this ridiculously competitive person that will punch you in the face.”
