Before he lit up the New York Jets, Odell Beckham wore a watch worth more than $2 million during warm-ups prior to Monday Night Football.
Though he didn’t wear the pricey Richard Mille RM 56-01 Tourbillon Sapphire watch during the game, Beckham was blinged out before his Cleveland Browns went out dismantled the Jets 23-3 on Monday night in New York.
Last week, Beckham got away with wearing a $200,000 Richard Mille watch on the field during a game, but the NFL spoke with him during the week about it.
Though Beckham initially said he planned to keep wearing the $200K watch, apparently he changed his mind and settled for wearing a more expensive model during warm-ups. One of the reasons may have been that the model is made primarily of synthetic sapphire crystal, which is a very brittle material that could be crushed by a hard hit from a helmet, according to Professional Watches.

The RM 56-02 case has to be milled and ground from solid pieces of sapphire and any mistakes can result in the piece cracking. It takes 960 hours for one case. there is almost 1500 hours of sapphire machining in a single watch.
Cost: $2,020,000
