Everyone knows the New England Patriots are the NFL’s biggest dynasty. They have 15 division titles, 12 AFC championship appearances, seven Super Bowl appearances, and five Super Bowl wins. Head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady have had an incredibly successful 17 years. The Ringer put together some other numbers to fully appreciate the Pats empire. New England has lapped every team in point differential except Seattle, and their figure it three times that of the sixth-place Saints. Counting the playoffs, the Patriots are 82-24 against the AFC East (77.4 winning percentage) since 2001, the best divisional mark in the league. The Patriots have also beaten everyone equal. The team has gone 237-72 since 2011, including playoffs, producing an almost-identical winning percentage (76.5). In the Super Bowl era, only 11 teams have made their conference championship game seven or more times. On Sunday, New England plays in their 12th final four under Brady and Belichick, a number only four teams can match in the last half-century. Even Belichick’s stats alone are impressive. He’s the head coach and the GM and even acted as the defensive coordinator for a while. In comparison to Belichick, John Madden won one Super Bowl, Bill Parcells won two. Belichick is on the verge of taking his 15th Patriots playoff team to its eighth Super Bowl. Meanwhile, Brady holds every playoff record worth having. He has thrown more passing yards and touchdowns in the playoffs than everyone in the league history except Peyton Manning, Brett Favre and Joe Montana.
