For NBA superstar LeBron James, January 10, 2014, was somewhat of an oddity.
First of all, for just the fourth time in his NBA career, James fouled out after he was whistled for an offensive foul after putting his shoulder into Shaun Livingston of the Nets during a drive to the hoop during overtime of a game the Miami Heat ended up losing to Brooklyn 104-95.
James, who had 36 points on 12-of-21 shooting to go with seven rebounds and five assists on the night for Miami in the loss, also wore “King James” on the back of his jersey for the first time as the game was the first time the NBA debuted its Name Collection jerseys.
During the game, Ray Allen wore “J. Shuttlesworth” on his back, Dwyane Wade wore ” D. Wade,” Kevin Garnett wore “The Big Ticket” and Paul Pierce wore “Truth.”

Though the Heat lost the so-called “Nickname Game,” the jersey James wore during the contest is expected to fetch a pretty penny when Sotheby’s auctions it off as part of a new online sale series titled From the Archive that begins today (July 20).
Following the sale of the game-worn jersey, which is expected to fetch $150,000 – $200,000 and will be available for bidding for just seven days, Sotheby’s will be offering a pair of “sample” prototype Nike Air Yeezys designed by Kanye West ($12,000 – $15,000), a pair of 2011 Nike MAG “Back to the Future” sneakers signed by Michael J. Fox ($30,000 – $50,000), a game-worn Michael Jordan jersey from his first season with the Washington Wizards ($50,000 – $70,000) and a pair of 2004 Nike “Jedi” dunks signed by Mark Hamill ($15,000 – $20,000).
