Giants team president and co-owner John Mara is all for bringing Eli Manning back as a Giant in 2018, acknowledging that is a “discussion that we’ll have.” Mara said at Wednesday’s December meetings that the pursuit of a general manager and coach could impact Manning’s future. Manning turns 37 next month, and if a GM tells Mara that it might be better to move on from Manning, Mara said they will “have that discussion.” Mara said he has seen most of the top quarterback prospects and said “we’re in a unique position to take a quarterback if we want.” For now though, Mara is comfortable with interim coach Steve Spagnuolo starting Manning.
