It’s about time looking good caught up with looking like you can withstand whatever tribulations South Pacific ne’er-do-well El Niño has in store for us this winter.
Enter Ministry of Supply’s Aviator … Part Deux.
This blazer is water-repellent, inherently lightweight and uses 4-way stretch technology for maximum maneuverability. The first edition sold out in a week when it launched last October. But now it’s back.
And, excellent news, they’ve upgraded it.
All the bells and whistles of the astronaut-worthy original are intact: durable as a T-1000, super-breathable, wrinkle-resistant, odor-repellent. And the exterior sports a polymer-wax coating that keeps the garment completely dry in the fiercest conditions.
But this time around, the Aviator is composed with a higher quality, “warp-knit” Japanese fabric that lends it unprecedented mobility. G’head and wear it on your two-wheeled commute — it’s every bit as technical as your favorite rain slicker or windbreaker.
To celebrate the release, Ministry is hosting a special in-store affair on October 24th. Swing by their Soho local from 2-5 PM for oysters, seasonal cocktails and coffee from Toby’s Estate. While you’re there, snag an Aviator 2 and you’ll be handsomely rewarded with a gratis Mercury scarf.
Get there before they’re gone.
