Every February around this time, New Yorkers stop speaking English and start speaking designer.
“Comme des Garçons.” “Balmain.” “Givenchy.”
Those label names roll effortlessly off the tongues of style mavens and anybody who wears shorts with a blazer.
But your average non-Lanvin-wearing gent could be forgiven for not knowing how to pronounce, well, Lanvin.
