Rumor Has It Lambo’s Got a 186-MPH Electric Hypercar in the Works

The Vitola will be a silent but deadly beast

Like the a helmet-to-helmet hit or the sizzle of a charcoal grill, the roar of a sports car engine is a noise that appeals to something primal in the hearts of men.

So savor it. It might not be around much longer.

Should rumors prove true, Lamborghini’s next big announcement will be the Vitola, a supercar with an all-electric drivetrain developed in tandem with Porsche. The car will clock 0-60 MPH in 2.5 seconds and top out at 186 MPH, according to Autobild, and it will do so in complete and utter silence. If the report is accurate, the Vitola will outpace the electric Mission E that Porsche is currently trying to bring to market and, in our opinion, have a much cooler name.

But don’t start clearing space in your garage just yet, as experts caution the Vitola will likely be a limited-edition model and cost upwards of $1 million.

Nothing quiet about the price tag.
