Look what Taylor Swift’s new song made some celebrities do.
Swift’s decidedly cutting tune, “Look What You Made Me Do,” the lead single from Swift’s upcoming sixth studio album, Reputation, landed Thursday. And it polarized not just fans.
As USA Today pointed out, Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes tweeted her approval with a promo trailer for her #TGIT (“Thank God Its Thursday) lineup on ABC, adding the hashtag #TGITaylor.
Girls star Lena Dunham and former reality TV star Heidi Montag also tweeted gushing praise.
Finally got my father to weigh in on @taylorswift13 @jackantonoff single: “I don’t trust my body but my body trusts me! Very cool lyrics!”

Nicki Minaj, however, tweeted a racial slur, along with a demand to “Be humble,” in what many interpreted as a dig against Swift. The tweet was seen as referring to a song by Kendrick Lamar, who appeared with Swift in her “Bad Blood” video.
Conspicuously silent, however, were Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, subjects of thinly-veiled disses on “Look What You Made Me Do.”
Swift will drop the video for her new single Sunday night at the Video Music Awards, according to Entertainment Tonight.
