Plenty of people in all walks of life end up going into the family business, whatever that may be. The world of music is no different, and over the years a number of second- or third-generation musicians have gone on to make impressive names for themselves in their own right. Among them are the likes of Rosanne Cash, Miley Cyrus and Jakob Dylan. And if they they have their way, perhaps the members of a new band, Suspect208, will also develop a musical legacy distinct from that of their forebears.
Suspect208 is comprised of four members: Tye Trujillo, Noah Weiland, London Hudson and Niko Tsangaris. Trujillo is the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo; Noah Weiland is the son of Stone Temple Pilots vocalist Scott Weiland. London Hudson’s dad? That would be Slash.
Stereogum’s report on the band’s formation notes that Trujillo sent time in Korn when he was 12, and that Tsangaris and Hudson previously played in the band Classless Act. Their first release? A song called “Long Awaited.”
Of the band’s members, Weiland is the oldest at 20 — a reminder that this group has plenty of time on their hands.
