A brisk night calls for a sweater. Our recommendation: hit the newly opened COS (H&M’s up-market line) in Beverly Hills. Pick the softer, tighter-knit boiled sweaters (men’s department, rack at the top of the stairs) or the ribbed jumper (in the back towards the fitting rooms).
Remember those Pink Floyd laser-light shows? Back in the ’90s? This is the adult version: in/SIGHT, a dazzling theater experience at Disney Hall where lights and fantastical scenes dance across Frank Gehry’s undulating interior in time to the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Pete’s Cafe was just transformed to Pete’s by the Bäco Mercat guy. Same corner spot, only now it’s a white French bistro with classics like steak frites, duck confit and one mean pan-fried veal. Get the tongue and potato salad to start. And definitely plan to go after the show because the service is also very, very, very French.
