Bill O’Reilly will be back on Fox News for the first time since he was fired in April. On Tuesday, O’Reilly is set to be a guest on Sean Hannity’s 9 p.m. program. Other guests this week include House Speaker Paul Ryan and radio host Rush Limbaugh, both on Thursday. On Monday night, Steve Bannon, Trump’s former special adviser, appeared as a guest, reports Variety.
O’Reilly was fired from Fox News after sexual harassment allegations. He has recently been on a media tour the past few weeks and has openly discussed his exit from Fox News. He is promoting his new book, Killing England, which is the latest in a series of alternate history novels. According to Variety, the book is supposed to be the focus of his appearance on Hannity.
Last week, while a guest on NBC’s Today, O’Reilly said his firing amounted to a “political and financial hit job” created by advertiser boycotts that were organized by left-leaning advocacy groups, reports Variety. He has repeatedly said he did nothing wrong.
O’Reilly was fired after Fox News parent company opened an investigation into harassment claims. Then, The New York Times reported O’Reilly and Fox News had paid out $13 million in settlements to women during the past 12 years.
O’Reilly has assembled a legal team to defend himself and “uncover the truth” about the campaign behind his firing, which he also believes has to do with 21st Century Fox’s pending takeover of European news channel Sky.
Variety writes that there has been much speculation about what O’Reilly will do next, and if he will join a new network. As of now, he has maintained an online presence through his website.
