Back in the day, I’d choose sitting on a stump for hours before parking my tush in a camp chair. Maybe that’s the outdoor purist in me, but camping chairs were also stiff, unsupportive and downright unbearable. These days, however, camping chairs are finally worthy of our backside. And one of my all-time favorites, the Roo Chair, is currently on sale in time for summer.
As the bigger sibling of the Joey Chair, the Roo features a wider base and higher backrest to enhance comfort around the campfire. I use the frame’s 300-pound weight capacity as an excuse to relax with the nearest dog I can find, but you might find solace using all the space yourself. And best of all, the design comes in one piece with a traveling case, so you won’t lose any parts during transport.
