Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of it. Today: Alcohol-infused water (with no bubbles), a spacious Helinox model and THC-themed toys and treats for your pup.
Helinox Chair Zero High-Back
Helinox’s signature Chair Zero is already our go-to camp chair. We don’t leave home without it, because even if we forget to pack it until the last minute, there’s always space; it weighs just 1 pound 2 ounces (but holds up to 265 pounds) and packs down super small thanks to the ingenious aluminum alloy frame. But it’s admittedly not the roomiest of camp chairs, which is why Helinox added this new High-Back model. Only 6 ounces heavier, but a heck of a lot easier to relax in.
Arc’teryx’s Norvan LD 3.
Long runs are a great time to think, but wondering about whether your shoes are going to make it to the finish line is not really the sort of thing you want to be pondering. Designed for the long haul, the Norvan LD 3 was constructed to eliminate that worry as well as take the sting out of difficult train runs thanks to a dual thickness TPU overlay to protect your toes from rocks and debris. Extra room in the toe box also leaves room for splay and swelling as miles accumulate.
Luxome Ultra Plush Robe
It’s like wearing your comfiest blanket. Available in charcoal, grey or blush, this extremely soft bamboo viscose textured knit features an oversized design for ideal lounging laziness.
BARK 4/20 Collection
For dog owners who want to turn their dog into a true blunt hound, BARK is celebrating 4/20 all month long with its largest-ever collection of THC-themed toys and treats. Including toys with names like Apple of My High and Foggy Green Giant, BARK’s limited-edition 4/20 BarkBox and Super Chewer boxes are available as of April 1 and will be on sale until supplies are cashed. Through April 8, new subscribers will receive a 4/20-themed bucket hat for their dog for free.
Devereux Peachy Capsule
Ahead of the Masters teeing off at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia next week (which may see the return of Tiger, Tiger Woods y’all), direct-to-consumer golf apparel brand Devereux has released a southern-themed capsule collection including polos, street-style bombers, T-shirts and a Peachy crewneck. The Peachy SZN line also features towels, printed socks, headwear and more.
Flybird Margaritas
Crafted in Mexico with 100% Blue Weber Agave and other all-natural ingredients, Flybird’s ready-to-drink cocktails can be enjoyed on-the-move (or fly, if you prefer). Or, if you have time to sit down and have a drink instead of guzzling and going, just pour over ice and enjoy. Originally launched with lime and strawberry flavors, Flybird’s line now includes margarita cocktails including passion fruit, watermelon cucumber and prickly pear. At 15% ABV, they pack a punch.
IKEA Vappeby
Here’s your ideal spring/summer device — a combo 360-degree Bluetooth speaker and rechargeable, rain-proof outdoor lamp. While you can easily stream your own tunes, there’s also a Spotify Tap playback button, which generates music based on your taste (if you want to listen to something else, just press the button again).
Funny Water
If you’re sick of hard seltzers … maybe it’s the seltzer part. Funny Water offers up alcohol-infused water (at a modest 3.75% ABV) with natural flavors, electrolytes, antioxidants … and no bubbles.
Devialet Dione
I love my Sonos soundbar, but if I were upgrading, Devialet’s Dolby Atmos® 5.1.2 soundbar features seventeen autonomous high-end drivers and requires no extra subwoofers or other satellite speakers to get you a full 3D sound.
eESCAPE
Three popular designs from the eco-friendly tiny home maker ESCAPE Homes have gone all-electric. The homes are powered by a simple plug that connects to an EV car or truck.
Taylor Stitch The Hand-Dyed Collection
Taylor Stitch partnered with Brooklyn-based artist Teresa Misagal of Dailola on a limited edition hand-dyed indigo collection, using traditional shibori tie-dye techniques. Among the new item: Two short-sleeve shirts and a limited run of bandanas.
