If you prefer to make your breakfast toast from French bread, a farm in southern Florida has the avocado for you.
Photos from Miami Fruit of their disturbingly big long neck avocados, which are also known as Persea Americana, have been going viral and it may not be long before they show up on toast in a trendy coffee shop near you.ย
Grown in southern Florida as well as the Caribbean Islands, the avocados can grow up to 13 inches in length and often weigh more than a pound.ย
According to Miami Fruit, the flesh of the enormous avocados is “thick and creamy” and the flavor is “savory and slightly salty.” The farm also describes the flesh as “soft yet pliable, high in moisture content with a melting quality.”
Also, don’t forget: the bigger the avocado, the bigger the pit.
“Miami Fruit is dedicated to providing the highest quality tropical fruit to people all over the United States,” according to the farm. “We love trying exotic and rare fruits, so we are thrilled to be able to share them with you.”
And share they do, at least on Instagram:
As long as you don’t live in California, you can order a box of the freakish fruits for as little as $37 or as much as $167.
