Soon, there will be cork-pops, confetti, and kissing. Where will you be? Hotels and venues around the world will be pulling out all the stops for their guests on New Year’s Eve. Whether you’re in Las Vegas or the Swiss Alps, you can bet that ringing in the near year will be an unforgettable occasion. But not every New Year’s celebration is alike; you have a number of choices for how baller (or laid back) it can be. So RealClearLife has curated a list of the top New Year’s Eve parties around the globe, with options for the bed-timers and all-nighters.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach

High rollers, look no further. The hotel’s Ultimate VIP Package is an experience that allows guests to indulge in luxury, and there’s enough to go around for you and nine of your friends. Available on a first-come basis, the five-night stay in Miami Beach includes choice of your own loner supercar, private poolside cabana, a $100,00 shopping spree, private steakhouse dinner, and two dinners cooked by a private chef. If that wasn’t enough, you get the best table for Justin Bieber’s New Year’s Eve poolside performance, an exclusive table at LIV for Skrillex, and access to a private yacht party with Marshmello. The package costs $500,000. Learn more here.

Fairmont Royal Pavilion

If Miami Beach strikes you as a bit too James Bond for your blood, we suggest the more laid-back option of the Caribbean. Hosted at the seaside Taboras restaurant, Barbados’ Fairmont Royal Pavilion is throwing an elegant bash with a special menu prepared by the hotel’s executive chef, Kirk Kirton. Between the live local bands playing all night and the tropical cocktails, it’s the perfect recipe for a good, relaxing time. More here.

Regent Berlin

Set against the stunning backdrop of Berlin’s iconic Gendarmenmarkt Square Christmas Market, Regent Berlin is offering a deluxe package to international travelers looking to ring in the new year. For about $217 per night, two guests get a two-night stay in one of the hotel’s Superior Rooms with breakfast included. On New Year’s Eve, you’ll enjoy a six-course meal at Fischers Fritz, a restaurant in the heart of Berlin that sports a pair of Michelin stars. Find out more here.

The Plaza Hotel

This iconic New York City hotel hosts an extravagant New Year’s Eve party in its Palm Court. A black-tie affair, guests will enjoy a cocktail hour followed by a grand buffet. Dance the night away, with music courtesy of the house band, until the champagne toast at midnight. If you decide to stay put after all the dancing and toasting, we suggest the Fitzgerald Suite (perfect for the Great Gatsby type). Find out more about this quintessential New York experience here.

Castle Hill Inn

The Castle Hill, a boutique hotel in Newport, Rhode Island, puts an Italian spin on its year-end festivities with its own special “Capodanno” event (i.e. Italiano for “New Year’s”). Dinner, live music, dancing, and a champagne toast make for a classy New Year’s Eve night. Then, depending on your condition the following morning, you’ll have access to Castle Hill’s boozy brunch and “richiamino” bar—Italian for “hair of the dog.” The best part? The hotel offers late checkout. Learn more here.

Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

The Cosmo is packing the most A-list star-power of all the parties on this list, playing host to not one but two Grammy Award–winning performers on New Year’s Eve weekend (festivities begin on Friday, because it’s Vegas, baby). On Dec. 30, you won’t be able to feel your face once The Weeknd takes the stage at The Chelsea, the hotel’s concert venue. Hitting the same stage the following night will be former Police man Sting, who will usher in the new year belting out all the classics, including a smattering of tunes from his latest album, 57th and 9th. (If Sting’s not your thing, you could always catch an encore performance of The Weeknd, who’ll be over at The Marquee on NYE.) Fans of either can inquire here.

Conrad New York

Out-of-towners looking to ring in the new year with a classy NYC touch (and a memorable selfie or two) should consider the Conrad. With a dead-on view of the Statue of Liberty, the hotel is hosting a four-course meal with live music at Atrio, the Conrad’s Mediterranean-inspired restaurant. After dinner, head up to Loopy Doopy, the hotel’s rooftop bar, for an exclusive champagne toast at midnight and views of fireworks along the Hudson (among the world’s best). For a limited time, the hotel is also offering guests the chance to take exclusive figure-skating lessons from former U.S. Olympians Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov at a nearby rink. Fairmont Mayakoba

South of the border? Look no further than Riviera Maya, where Fairmont Mayakoba is hosting a three-pronged, Mexican-style New Year’s Eve celebration. For the all-night dancer, one of the resort’s pair of restaurants, La Laguna, is hosting a salsa party. Brisas, the other one, is staging a poolside fiesta, with food stations and à la carte service, along with accompaniment from a Caribbean band. But if you’re looking for something a bit more decadent, the hotel lobby lounge will feature a Studio 54–style disco party with a DJ, dessert options, full-bar service, and fireworks. Palmer House

If you find yourself in Chicago on New Year’s Eve, the historic Palmer House hotel has tiered options for the would-be reveler—depending on how over-the-top you want your night to be. We suggest going right for the gold, with the $5,000 “private hospitality” option, which offers you a private bartender, security guard, and VIP tickets for 12 friends to an exclusive New Year’s Eve bash. While the hotel opens up a number of entertainment rooms that night, only VIPers will get into the hotel’s legendary Golden Empire Dining Room, which once played host to stars such as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong. Tickets are available here.

Waldorf Astoria New York

Be a part of the Waldorf Astoria’s last New Year’s Eve celebration—at least in its current form. (The iconic New York City hotel is set to close temporarily next spring to undergo a major restoration/renovation.) On the big night, the Waldorf’s steakhouse, Bull and Bear, is hosting a five-course prix fixe dinner menu, featuring a number of its classic dishes (reservations can be made between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.). If you have tickets to the main event, that’ll be over at the Waldorf’s historic bar, where there’s open bar, a live band, and dancing until 1:00 a.m. (plus party favors). The Bull and Bear is also offering up an exclusive option for whiskey enthusiasts, who can splurge on a $3,500 dram of Balvenie 50 (it’s the only spot on the eastern seaboard where you can enjoy this rare treat). Make reservations, purchase tickets, and learn more here.
