Today, You Get a Free Slurpee.

Tomorrow, you get a free meal. Here’s how.

July 11, 2016 9:00 am

Channeling Bill Pullman circa the first Independence Day:

“The 11th of July will no longer be known as — uh, Monday — but as the day when the world declared in one voice:

Today we celebrate … Free Slurpee Day.”

Happy 50th, Slurpees.

To celebrate the golden anniversary, and snag one of the 7-Eleven’s tasty, sugary frozen drinks, stop by at any of the stores from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. In return, you’ll receive a small-sized Slurpee of your flavored choice — “Birthday Cake” is this year’s limited-edition flavor.

But there’s more. If you have the 7-Eleven app and you’re a member of the 7Rewards Program (that’s a thing), purchase seven Slurpees of any size by July 18 to earn 11 free drinks for future use.

Note: Hawaii excluded, because apparently island paradise is enough for you.

Looking for more fast food freebies? You missed IHOP’s Free Pancake Day and Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day, but tomorrow is Chick-fil-A’s Cow Appreciation, where those who dress like a cow will get a free meal.
