Through their Delete to Feed program, Land O’Lakes reminds us just how blessed we are to be able to put food on the table every night.
The process is pretty simple; Instagram users connect their accounts to Delete to Feed’s website, then start deleting their food porn pictures. For every deleted photo (up to 40 per user), Land O’Lakes will donate 11 meals to Feeding America, a charity service that connects food-insecure populations with food banks and other resources. They also partner with companies like Land O’Lakes and Food Lion for additional support.
Participating Instagram users get badges for deleting photos, which they are encouraged to share on social media, and Land O’Lakes doesn’t hold onto their account information.
Delete to Feed began on September 20, 2016, and will remain active until October 18, unless the program marks 250,000 photo deletions first.
