Sean Connery didn’t just play a part on redefining decades’ worth of cinema — as it turns out, he also had a great sense for great design. At least, that’s the impression one can easily get when looking at home he once owned on the French Riviera, and which is now on the market.  Villa Le Roc Fleuri is situated on the side of a hill in Cap de Nice, which provides it with impressive views of the water. Architecturally speaking, it’s also a distinctive, luxurious space.

Writing at CNN, Amy Woodyatt has more information on the villa. Its main residence is massive — around 10,700 square feet. Swimmers may find the villa’s two pools (one inside and one outside) of particular interest, and the gardens found around the villa accentuate the architecture.

As befits a home once owned by an actor who embodied a certain kind of style, there’s also an air of glamour found throughout the space. Or, as Edward de Mallet Morgan of Knight Frank said, “There’s something very special about the James Bond franchise, about its connection with the French Riviera, which is all about a little bit of mystery, a little bit of intrigue, a little bit of stardust.”

The property also includes a pair of guest villas, a garage with a staff apartment and a total of 1.24 acres. What will it cost to embark on your own French Rivera adventure? €30,000,000, or around $35.6 million.
