The 2020 Grammy nominations are here, and as anyone who’s been paying attention to the massive years had by Lizzo and Billie Eilish might expect, the breakout artists lead the pack with eight and six nominations, respectively. But the pair also made history — for the first time in history, two artists (Lizzo and Eilish) are nominated in all of the “Big Four” categories (Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist).
Lil Nas X also nabbed six nominations. Predictably, most of them are for his smash hit “Old Town Road,” but he also earned a surprise Album of the Year nomination for his 18-minute EP, 7. Check out all of the nominees in the major categories below, and click here for a full list of nominations. The Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS from Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Jan. 26, 2020 and be hosted by Alicia Keys.
