All due respect to the winners, but the biggest story to come out of this week’s British Fashion Awards in London was what Meghan Markle wore … on her nails.
Clad in a black Givenchy dress, the Duchess of Sussex appeared onstage at the awards show as a presenter with her nails decked out in dark nail polish.
While that might not seem like a big deal, though it’s not an official edict, it’s an established fact that Queen Elizabeth II does not approve of colorful nail polish on members of the royal family, including black.

As for the awards themselves, they were held at Royal Albert Hall in London and preceded by some extensive red carpet walking featuring the likes of Kendall Jenner, Victoria Beckham and many other leading ladies from the worlds of beauty and fashion.
