Stephen Miller and Jake Tapper had a tense interview on CNN’s State of the Union, and according to TVNewser, Miller had to be escorted off the set by security. After Tapper quickly ended the interview and had Miller’s mic cut off, CNN staff asked the White House senior adviser multiple times to leave the set. However, Miller did not handle those requests well and ultimately had to be escorted out by building security. The Trump administration and CNN have developed a tumultuous relationship since Inauguration Day, and Miller’s appearance did not help ease any tensions. During the in-studio interview, Tapper asked Miller about the various claims made in Michael Wolff’s highly-scrutinized and publicized Fire and Fury, which details Trump’s first year in office. The White House has denied the veracity of the claims made in the book. Miller did not seem interested in answering Tapper’s questions about the book but instead continued to sing the praises of the president, writes TV Newser. He referred to Trump as a “political genius,” and eventually, Tapper grew tired of Miller not answering his questions and he shut the interview down abruptly.
