On the same day that the Boston Globe reported that Kevin Spacey will be arraigned on Jan. 7 on a felony charge for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenager in Nantucket in 2016, the actor resurfaced with a disturbing new video.
The Oscar-winner posted a YouTube monologue in which he appeared to be reprising his House of Cards character, his first real public words in months since being fired from the hit Netflix show.
Eight episodes of the show’s last season had been written and the rest of the series finale mapped out when BuzzFeed published an Oct. 29, 2017, article in which Anthony Rapp revealed he was sexually abused by Spacey when the younger actor was just fourteen. That the revelation landed just as the #MeToo movement was getting underway inspired others to come forward with allegations against Spacey.
Titled “Let Me Be Frank,” in an apparent nod to his fictional President Frank Underwood, the new YouTube video seemed to hint at his own real life “Impeachment Without a Trial.”
“We’re not done no matter anyone says,” Spacey drawls in the YouTube video. “Besides, I know what you want, you want me back.”
