Robert Hall Cavern Select Rose

The Cavern Select Rosé is bright pink in color with cherry, orange and stone on the nose. Flavors of strawberry and melon complement the crisp acidity on the finish. It’s the perfect pairing with Mat’s playlist, as well as tacos, seafood (halibut, shrimp), caprese salad, and various cheeses (chevre, ricotta, manchego, stilton).

Cabernet Come Down Playlist by Mat Kearney

Originally hailing from Eugene, OR, multi-instrument musician Mat Kearney helped a friend move to Nashville, TN in the early aughts and loved it so much that he elected to stay permanently. Now a longtime fixture on the Music City scene, Kearney has released seven genre-blending albums and toured with everyone from John Mayer to Sheryl Crow.

Kearney’s latest record, entitled January Flower, is a collection of honest, stripped-down songs that bring Kearney back to his singer/songwriter roots — armed with only his voice and an acoustic guitar, Kearney wrote the majority of the album during a power outage at an isolated house in California’s Joshua Tree. “You couldn’t see anything from the house but the desert and it was so beautiful.” says Kearney. “Stripping it back to me and a guitar and some friends reminded me of how I started and that was the genesis of this record.”

I like to play this mix when I’m taking my time cooking a nice dinner or hanging out on my front porch watching the day turn to night.

Lately a good glass of wine and a playlist that makes me feel relaxed, at peace, and even inspired is pretty much as good as it gets.
