Unlike the rest of us, Quentin Tarantino somehow still has hopes and dreams for the future. At the moment, Quentin Tarantino’s hopes and dreams include a novelization of Quentin Tarantino’s film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, authored by Quentin Tarantino.
In an appearance on the Pure Cinema podcast last week, the filmmaker said he’s been “thinking a lot” about novelizing the film, Dazed reported.
“I hadn’t thought about that until recently. But now I’m thinking a lot about it. I might be writing a novelization to Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” he said.
Despite claiming his 10th film will be his last, Tarantino doesn’t appear to be lacking for future projects. News of a potential Once Upon a Time novel follows Tarantino’s announcement last year that he’s working on another novel highlighting the differences between American and foreign films through the eyes of a WWII veteran.
More recently, the filmmaker has also announced that he’s directing a Once Upon A Time In Hollywood spin-off, centered on the film’s fictional TV show, Bounty Law. And back in January, Tarantino released the 30-minute documentary, A Love Letter To Making Movies, revealing a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, including insights into Tarantino’s ideas and inspirations.
These days, Quentin Tarantino’s biggest inspirations appear to be Quentin Tarantino films, which seems to reflect a level of self-love most of us, with the possible exception of Kanye West, can only dream of.
