Many Netflix users switch to a movie after reaching the end of a TV series, the streaming service has revealed. Netflix says that 59 percent of Netflix viewers take a three-day break “post-binge”—that is, after finishing one TV show and before choosing another one. In the meantime, 61 percent of those on a break turn to a standalone title on the site for their viewing pleasure, be it a movie, documentary, or stand-up special.
The company analyzed more than 100 TV series to identify which movies were paired most frequently with which series. Among the findings, Stranger Things was followed up by Zootopia, while American Horror Story viewers moved on to Mean Girls. Gilmore Girls viewers turned next to Dirty Dancing and Sixteen Candles, Bloodline led the way to Spotlight, and Breaking Bad fans got their fix with Pulp Fiction.
