It’s a good year for Mercedes. Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz is set to clinch another year leading the U.S. luxury market. If they do, this will be the second year in a row they’ve won the title. Heading into December, Mercedes outsold rival BMW AG by more than 30,000. That means Mercedes outsold them by about an entire month’s worth of deliveries. We have to wait until automakers report December results on Jan. 3 for the official count. This was the first year of declining industry demand since 2009.
