Jennifer Aniston has always been one of the most authentic actresses in Hollywood. She can rise above the endless gossip chain about her — is she pregnant, is she secretly divorced, does she want Brad back — and puts her celebrity behind brands that promote health and body positivity.
The 48-year-old actress is also always honest that the answer to a sculpted body is eating well and working out. She has never been heard saying a bad thing about anyone, writes Vanity Fair, and she stands up for herself when necessary.
Vanity Fair sat down with the actress, who will soon return to primetime TV with Reese Witherspoon. The magazine offers a window into Aniston’s life, since the actress has given up on all social media, seeing it as a “drag.”
Aniston told the magazine that she feels like people are missing so much by being on their phones all the time. “I worry we’re filling the days up with too much and it’s hard to focus on ourselves,” she said.
Aniston enjoys working in TV right now because she loves going to a set every day but also loves the ability to come home, which is not always possible when shooting a movie. She said that she is currently doing The Class by Taryn Toomey as well as going to the gym with her trainer, where she “throws heavy boulders around,” among other things. She also does “45 mins of intervals on my elliptical. I raise the incline, run for two mins, walk for one, run for two. . . and I do it for 20 minutes straight until I’m just drenched.”
Aniston calls herself a “creature of habit” which is part of the reason her beauty and hair routine haven’t changed over the years.
The actress also addressed the op-ed she wrote about getting harassed by the paparazzi and baby-shamed by tabloids. Nothing has changed since she wrote it, Aniston said, and she thinks that the tabloids and gossip columns are incredibly damaging for young women to read. And though it’s hard, Aniston has a positive message for readers: “You are perfect no matter what you are and no matter where you are and who cares! You have to tune out the noise, which is fine by me, because I just know that I’m happy and healthy and doing everything I can to be good in the world and to the people I work with.”
