The movie that Hugh Jackman spent $84 million on is set to be released on Dec. 20. The film, The Greatest Showman, represents a big risk for Fox, which is spending $100 million on its market and release worldwide. The musical is also unabashedly nostalgic, unlike those before it, like La La Land. But this year has held a lot for the actor: he also said goodbye to Wolverine, a character he has been playing nine films over nearly two decades. Saying goodbye to that character also meant turning down others. He said no to playing James Bond, because he wants to focus on proving that he can act without having claws come out of his knuckles.
