Judge Jeanine is still in recess.
After making inflammatory comments two weeks ago about Congresswoman Ilhan Omar—a practicing Muslim who wears a hijab—Fox News weekend host Jeanine Pirro remained off the air for a second week. Viewers expecting her return on Saturday night were instead once again shown the same episode of the Fox News docuseries Scandalous: The Trial of William Kennedy Smith.
While the network publicly distanced itself from Pirro’s remarks almost immediately after she made them, it has never confirmed that her show Justice with Judge Jeanine has been suspended as a result. Pierre has also issued no public comments or apology since her show two weeks ago and has made no posts on social media since March 10th.
There are signs, however, that this might be the last week her show is off the air. CNN had reported previously, via an anonymous source inside Fox News, that Pirro had been suspended because of her remarks and that it would last from one to two weeks.
But the longer sentence of silence for Pirro will no doubt not sit well with one of her biggest fans: President Trump. He had tweeted in protest about her absence when her show was pre-empted last week.
