While NBC’s The Tonight Show has been scoring the actual presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, CBS’ The Late Show has been in lock-step—but on the analysis front. (Host Stephen Colbert has had a lot of practice with that, having spent years mocking politics on The Colbert Report.)
But last night, Colbert landed a guest in first lady Michelle Obama, who’s actually experienced the White House for the past eight years, and was able to provide some of her own analysis on the upcoming election—and her husband, the president. Below, watch Obama talk about her years as first lady, which includes a spot-on impression of Barack at the dinner table (if you don’t want to watch the entire segment, cue to the 5:15 mark). Also, watch this interview, where she discusses the current presidential campaign.
