A small tower broke out on the roof of the Trump Tower in Manhattan on Monday morning, according to officials. The smoke carried for several blocks, and firefighters were called to the Fifth Ave. skyscraper around 7:20 a.m. According to the FDNY, the blaze was caused by the building’s heating and cooling system. Firefighters quickly fought back the blaze and worked to contain it. Two people were reportedly injured, and one man was taken away in a stretcher after battling the fire. Eric Trump, the president’s son and executive vice president at the Trump Organization, confirmed the fire. President Trump and his family live at the White House, but he still has an apartment in the 58-story tower. He was, however, in D.C. at the time of the fire.
