Erring on the side of caution, and on the side of “the CDC and FDA jointly agreed the product is contaminated and inedible” — Indiana-based Rose Acre Farms has recalled 206 million eggs after 22 people across nine states became sick with Salmonella Braenderup.
Consumers are advised to throw out or seek a refund if they purchased from the affected lots. Brands that were affected include: Great Value, Sunshine Farms, Crystal Farms and some Waffle House locations.

Fun fact: it’s the shell, not the egginess inside that is contaminated in these situations. But you can’t recall a couple shells without breaking a few … nevermind.
