The 75th Golden Globe awards were handed out last night at the Beverly Hilton. Big Little Lies, the TV series featuring Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, nabbed four wins for best limited series: Nicole Kidman for lead actress, Laura Dern for supporting actress and Alexander Skarsgard in a supporting role, accord ng to The Hollywood Reporter. Amazon’s show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel won for best comedy series, as well as for lead actress Rachel Brosnahan. And The Handmaid’s Tale, Hulu’s show that took the world by storm last year, claimed the prize for best drama television series. In film, Guillermo Del Toro won the best director prize for The Shape of Water, while Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri won big with four total awards including best drama, and for Frances McDormand in the lead actress category, Martin McDonagh for screenplay and for supporting actor for Sam Rockwell. Lady Bird won two awards, for best comedy film and for lead actress for Saoirse Ronan. Gary Oldman won for best performance by an actor in a motion picture for his role in Darkest Hour.
