A new trailer for the upcoming superhero movie Black Panther is set to drop sometime during the College Football Playoff National Championship on ESPN. The Georgia versus Alabama game starts at 8 p.m. ET, and the trailer’s release time isn’t clear, but SB Nation guesses it will happen close to halftime, when Kendrick Lamar performs at nearby Centennial Olympic Park. Lamar is curating the soundtrack for the movie. Black Panther is a Marvel Studios production — Marvel is owned by Disney, who also owns ESPN. Chadwick Boseman stars at the Black Panther, aka T’Challa. He is the ruler and defender of Wakanda, an African country considered the world’s most technologically advanced. The plot in this movie is a spin off from the Black Panther character in Captain America: Civil War. Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o is in the film, as is Michael B. Jordan. One trailer has already been released, which you can watch below.
