Sandwiches on Demand. Finally.

Watch your back, Bodegas

May 23, 2016 9:00 am

The corner bodega will always have its place in our hearts.

Good for milk, people watching and quick, discreet prophylactic runs.

Their sandwiches, however, can now be left to those 3 AM nights — where they belong.

Reason: new delivery service Barney Brown bringing you your favorite custom sandwich creations at the touch of a button.

Created by Baked by Melissa Co-founder Matt Baer, Barney Brown is available every day from 10 AM-4 PM. At launch, they deliver between 14th and 42nd from river to river.

And the combinations are limitless, with more than 70 premium ingredients, including 10 types of locally baked breads with gluten-free options, eight proteins, 10 cheeses and all the veggies, mayo, mustard and sauces your gullet desires.

Should you be struck in a sandwich rut, explore a virtual gallery of options via their user-generated Social Sandwiching platform. Some of our favorites include: Sammy’s Chicken Salad Paradox, George’s Protein Shangri-la, Viking Funeral and Jillian’s Corned Beef Scandal.

Head to the website or download the app, start building and in 30 or so, we arrive in sandwich heaven.

Next time you want to reorder, which will likely be the next day, it’s two taps of the thumb on the app and she’s comin’ at ya.

There’s a $10 minimum, $3 delivery fee with tax and tip included. Catering is also available.

Bodegas everywhere beware: there’s a new sandwich in town.
