Occasionally, your better half stays in for the night and lets you off the leash.

No, not like a Hall Pass. More like an “I don’t care if you come home with whiskey breath and the giggles” pass.

Do not let that night go to waste. We’ve got your plan of action, and it involves something better than a basketball game, corner bar or burlesque show.

STEP ONE: The Lodge
Originally founded in a Springtown, PA lodge circa 1840, this East Village shop was recently launched by two fellas with a love for “guy stuff” and Americana. They’re also quite fond of women, cars and whiskey. Almost every piece in-house is manufactured in the U.S. of A., and strolling through, we spotted a few of our favorites in the man-goods game: the Mod Tablet 2, the Prospect Brief and limited-edition Brooklyn Eagles hats from Ebbets Field.

STEP TWO: Lionsbeerstore
Not just a bar. Not only a restaurant. More than a bodega. It’s a beer experience. Pull up a seat for comfort foods like Chicken Soup with Dumplings, Texas Fried Chicken and a Sausage Platter with Four Alarm Mustard, all inspired by executive chef Joshua Bedford’s hometown favorites. The kicker: more than 350 available craft beers in drafts, cans and bottles conveniently broken down by country, style, size and ABV for pairing. Each brew is served on-site and ready for purchase should you have a hankering for a flight to go.

STEP THREE: The Metrograph
From esteemed neck-tie designer Alexander Olch comes the first independent movie theater to open in Manhattan in more than a decade. Showcasing first-run and repertory films, Metrograph will focus heavily on archive-quality 35mm prints and state-of-the-art digital projects. It’s two theaters (one with 175 seats, one with 50), a restaurant, two bars and a cinema-driven bookshop. Upcoming, we’re looking forward to the Old School Kung Fu FestFassbinder’s Top 10 and the Sin Alas premiere while snacking on Cacio e Pepe popcorn, BK-made salt water taffy and a libation or two.
