If there’s one thing Angelenos love enough to abandon the comforts of home, it’s the movies.
Even if that means parking decks and silencing your cell phone.
Which, mercifully, this is not.
What it is: the Melrose Rooftop Cinema, a 200-person outdoor theater located in a private section of the EP/LP rooftop.
That means lip-smacking food, heavy-handed cocktails, comfy chairs, blankets and unobstructed views of the 16’ by 19’ screen as well as those gorgeous Hollywood Hills in the background. To ensure high-quality sound, they provide headphones, which work from the seats to the bathroom to the bar.
The schedule through September is now available, with plans to extend the showings through October. On tap: recent releases (Get Out, La, La Land) as well as a few classics (Raiders, Ferris Bueller).
See you at the movies.
