You Wood

They say if you love doing something, do it as often as you can.

Or at least for as long as you can ignore the updates from your iPhone.

That’s the mantra behind Knotwork, peddlers of handmade wooden kitchenware and home decor, online now.

The side project of an artist and an archetict, whose day work at Knowhow Shop includes designing installations for the Smithsonian and Food Network’s Giada at Home, Knotwork sells long, curvy spoons and spatulas made from oak, walnut and sycamore.

Each piece is coated in beeswax, which the couple also makes and sells.

Knotwork also works with ceramics, from airy planters inspired by barnacles to Burton-esque bowls and cups.

Plus: custom furniture, sculptures and housewares, like a carabiner baby rattle they designed for some rock-climbing friends.

So pick up your iPhone and give ’em a call.
