From the driving, to the parking, to the not knowing where to drive or park, dinner in L.A. is harder than it should be. That’s why we created Dinner Plan — your three-step itinerary to a damn good time.
This week: East Hollywood. Activities galore. Here’s your plan.
Sunset Padel
Say hello to your new activity date: padel, an insanely fun racquet game that’s essentially mini-tennis surrounded by tall plastic walls, which you can use to ricochet the ball to your opponents. The newly opened Sunset Padel in East Hollywood is L.A.’s only padel location, and it has showers, WiFi and a little courtyard to wait your turn. This Saturday they’re hosting a tourney.
The Shoes
Stay on your toes with the Zoom Vapor 9s by Nike. They were designed with help from Roger Federer, and you can customize them to suit your width and color palate. They also look sharp enough to wear to your post-play meal.
El Cóndor
Post-play meals need to be casual, greasy and booze-filled. The perfect place for that: El Cóndor, the new Mexico City-inspired fare from the L&E Oyster guys. They have a great patio with a retractable roof upon which you can enjoy margaritas, a deep-fried pambazo torta and a bad-to-the-bone order of carne asada enchiladas (see menu).
