Be The Best Olympian You Can Be at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel

Go for gold with sportsman classes for aspiring Olympians

August 1, 2016 9:00 am

This Friday, the world’s greatest athletes descend on Rio for the 2016 Olympic Games, already being described as one of the most disastrous Olympiads in modern history.

Police protests. “A toxic stew” in the waterways. Jaguars being shot dead after torch ceremonies. Financial malfeasance. Zika Virus. The fact that Vladimir Putin held his own Olympic Games for all those Russian athletes banned for doping.

In short: it’s gonna be a fun watch — from home.

Even more fun, though? Participating — from home.

Lucky for you, the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel is hosting a monthlong series in which you’ll get a chance to flex your own Olympic muscles.

Open to the public and taking place over the next three Sundays, the classes get you one-on-one with a pro trainer for a two-and-a-half hour introductory session. Ever wanted to learn how to throw a jab? Cock back a longbow? Do whatever the hell fencing entails?

This is your chance. Check the details below — you can sign up for all three for an easy $50.

  • August 7: Boxing with TITLE Boxing Club 10 a.m.-12 P.M.
  • August 14: Archery with Archery Bow Range Chicago 12-2 P.M.
  • August 21: Fencing with Hyde Park Fencing 2-4:30 P.M.

Small price to pay for a chance to step into the winner’s circle.
