Wunder Bar

Snow, like Chicago’s own Biblical plague of wintry locusts, is upon us.

Time to hunker down.

We’ve got just the spot: The Radler, the new German-style beer hall now open in Logan Square.

The Radler’s a big space. A contemporary haus of hops where you’ll knock back Düsseldorf-sized steins of beer and nosh on Bavarian eats on hand-hewn communal tables.

We’re talking fresh-baked pretzels and bacon mayo potato salad alongside housemade sausages and funky mustards. We suggest the smoked knackwurst served with roasted broccoli.

And about that cold weather drinking: plenty of beer. A traditional house pilsner by Flesk Brewing. A sessionable house shandy. And a rotating draft selection that includes newcomers Ale Syndicate.

As of now, The Radler isn’t accepting reservations, so we suggest you get in before winter hits its stride.

And get comfy. It’s gonna be a long one.
