The menswear spectrum tends too heavily toward its poles.
You’ve got your fast fashion (read: Uniqlo). You’ve got your bespoke (read: Leffot, Knot Standard).
And you’ve got far too few options that split the difference between the two.
Correcting that: COS, a new 5,700-square-foot den of good taste by way of London, now taking orders at 46 E. Oak Street.
Born in 2007 as a higher-end subsidiary of H&M, COS (for Collection of Style) specializes in minimalist, no-fuss wardrobe essentials. Expect classic menswear designs in a subdued but extensive color palette, with modern fits and high-quality materials a standard.
The Chicago flagship is their first Midwest location, along with their most expansive in the U.S. to date. It’s also one of the only stateside shops that stocks their fashion-forward leisurewear collection.
They’re also kicking things off with a bang: the brand’s 50-percent-off-everything summer blowout sale is now in session, and we’ve picked out a few of our favorites below.
