Fresh Spring Fit
“The chest and shoulders of a jacket are key to good fit. But don’t stop there. Sleeves should show off some cuff. Make sure the waist is nipped in accordingly. This is essential when there are no layers to hide under.”
The Checked Coat
“Every man needs a jacket that goes three ways: with jeans, navy slacks and grey trousers. Go with a checked coat that highlights the core colors of your wardrobe.”
New Season, New Colors
“Sky blue, raspberry, rich navy and British tan will be big this year. This Glen plaid [above] has two of those four colors. Pair it with a white shirt, cognac shoes and a bright pocket square for an easy weekday office look.”
Sock Detail
“Rule of thumb: keep your socks a shade darker than your pants when it’s cold, and a shade lighter when it’s warm. Bresciani and Pantherella are my picks.”
Simple Upkeep
